Reid Kress Weisbord
Reid Kress Weisbord is a professor of law and the Judge Norma L. Shapiro Scholar at Rutgers Law School. His teaching and scholarship explore topics on wealth transfer, nonprofit organizations, intellectual property, publicity rights, constitutional criminal procedure, and the role of law in influencing human behavior.
Since joining the Rutgers faculty in 2010, Professor Weisbord has established a national reputation as an innovative and productive legal scholar, educator, and academic administrator.
He is the author of numerous articles and previously practiced in the litigation department of an international law firm. In 2017, Professor Weisbord received the Greg Lastowka Memorial Award for Scholarly Excellence and the International Institute of Education Award for Outstanding Service. Professor Weisbord has also worked actively to identify practical applications for his scholarly research, including the submission of legislative proposals invited by the United States House Ways and Means Committee and the New Jersey Law Revision Commission.
